The story of Kate and Sawyer, who are getting married April 23, 2011

It all started on the snowy Christmas Eve of 2005, it was a day like any other winter day in Salt Lake City Utah the crisp 20* weather, the snow falling and melting the moment it hit the ground leaving a beautiful slick glisten on the roads & a soft layer of white in the yards with the green grass poking through.
Kate was home on holiday from school in Minnesota, busy as a bee (as always) with family preparations for Christmas. Sawyer was home for the holiday as well, he always spent the vacations back at the family house instead of on campus.
It was nearing nine pm when Kate received a email from Sawyer, stating that he wanted to “get out of the house” and we should “get coffee”. Skeptical, Kate said no – what cafe on earth, yet alone in Utah would be open on Christmas Eve?! She soon received another message, stating that there was a cafe downtown that was open until midnight. On Christmas Eve? Who would have thought? After each clearing the expedition with their parents, they decided that they would meet.
The two sat with their steaming cups of coffee, the conversation that insued warmed their hands & their hearts. As the two packed up the leave they decided to meet up later on Christmas day. Sawyer, being a snarky guy professed his love for coffee, crafty Kate couldn’t let the opportunity pass by and stated:
“if you love coffee so much, you should date a barista”
Her comment got her a slight, awkward uncomfortable laugh. But it won her a kiss on the forehead. As she got in her car beginning to go their separate ways, thoughts raced through Kate’s mind, but one repeated & repeated; “I win.”
The next day, they each spent the morning with their families. After dinner, Kate traveled across the valley over to Sawyers home, the two joined his family for some delicious dessert. The two awkwardly sat to watch the movie “The Island” slowly getting closer and closer on the couch. By the end of the movie Sawyer’s hand was around Kate’s shoulder.
